SB 818 — Information Technology – Artificial Intelligence – Policies and Procedures — Chapter 496
Keystone bill requiring State units to inventory systems that use AI. Also establishes the Governor's AI Subcabinet, directs Maryland's Department of Information Technology (DoIT) to adopt AI policies and procedures for development/procurement/deployment, and sets limits on certain AI deployments.

Establishes the Maryland Artificial Intelligence Partnership in the University System of Maryland to provide a single nexus for certain stakeholders in artificial intelligence initiatives to advance artificial intelligence in the State
